central space is a platform for experimental art projects and events. The space has been used for temporary/exploratory work since the 1970s. central space provides the opportunity for artists or groups to carry out ambitious projects working in the space for up to one month. In turn the space provides an audience with the opportunity to engage with the process of making work as much as the final product, which could take the form of an exhibition, performance, screening or installation. This website archives 12 projects that took place between 2001 and 2004. central space is located at Faroe Road Studios – one of seventeen artists’ studio buildings in London run by ACAVA.
